LA/SuDS Designer for a new industrial development. A large industrial unit with associated parking was softened with permeable paving, extensive raingardens, and biodiverse SuDS basins.

 

Planting includes the colourful wetland rill (predominantly Lythrum salicaria and Mentha aquatica) and a naturalistic use of ornamental grasses and shrubs in the Raingardens. Such grasses are simple to maintain - requiring only an annual cut in most cases.
