Teddy's Farm

This was a partnership project with Geoff Sweaney of Wetland Engineering.

Teddy's Farm is a campsite within the New Forest. Recent problems with water quality in and around the Solent, have required campsites in the area to demonstrate nutrient neutrality.

Geoff led on design and specification of the treatment wetlands - in this case, evapotranspiration beds (ET beds herein).

ET beds are a relatively new approach for the UK. A useful guide on how they function can be found here.

Blue Green Studio led site-wide designs, and detailing of habitat wetlands that could compliment the ET bed, securing planning permissions for the project and delivering construction drawings for the same. This project is currently in construction - we hope to have some photos soon.
